The Massadack Deck Chair
Originally inspired by the famous Adirondack Chair, the Massadack Deck Chair introduces new materials, new forms, and a new look to its traditional counterpart. The Corian curved seat and back accentuate the traditional form but replace the familiar wood slats. The curved painted tube steel frame substitutes the more recognizable angled wood frame, allowing the chair to express a fluid, futuristic look. The seat and back of the Massadack Deck Chair were initially designed with laminated wood, but finding a compatible wood and glue to withstand severe exposure became frustrating. Corian demonstrates a natural ability to maintain its structural stability during extreme exposure to the elements, making it the obvious alternative.
